…but problem was that he couldn’t find any typical food from Niger. Because of this and because of
fact that his company has enough - even too much of it - he changed his planes and went to the
Philippines. Again, like on all long flights – way was long, food was middling… Plane landed in Manila.
From there he went to the coast. There he went on ship and with it to the smaller village. There was
good restaurant. It was good, because it was not expensive restaurant for tourists but just small
restaurant for natives. There he took adoba with pork. Locals really likes pork. Besides this they
often eat chickens too. And at every meal there is rice. It is their main food. Adoba was good – it was
like meat-sauce. But when he got their delicacy – balot – he just couldn’t eat it. Ballot is boiled bird-
baby in egg. You have to peel egg and there you have. After seeing that he couldn’t eat anything else,
so he went to his room.
